Updated to reflect the revised SOLAS Chapter V, Regulation 23 (effective 1 July 2025), this poster is reproduced with permission from the International Maritime Pilots’ Association (IMPA).
It presents clear dos and don’ts for pilot boarding arrangements, including guidance on the safe approach of the pilot boat, installation of pilot ladder winch reels, and examples of compliant rigging setups. Designed as a crew-facing safety aid, the layout supports safer boarding in line with current IMO recommendations.
