Inspection Guidelines for Ships Carrying Liquified Gases in Bulk

The booklet is divided into two main sections, the first of which may be completed during discussion with the ship's master and contains information on items including safety management, manning, certification and documentation, cargo systems and instrumentation. The second section is completed during a visual inspection of the ship and contains information on safety and firefighting equipment, mooring arrangements, cargo tanks and cargo handling equipment, engine room and steering gear installations and bridge and radio room equipment and procedures. Individual items throughout the Guidelines have been comprehensively referenced to indicate the relevant IMO Convention or Code or accepted Industry Code to which they refer.
