The NV charts are characterized by fine contours and easily distinguishable color gradations in the depth lines. Turquoise for coral reefs, red for the 2m line and blue for the 5m shallow water areas. Graphical representation of topography is particularly important when sailing the Caribbean waters.
Well-marked rivers, towns and road maps help to get a quick overview of the coast and the supply options on land. Waypoints marked in red with coordinates in the WGS84 system help the skippers on board and enable reliable waypoint navigation with GPS devices and chart plotters. Altitude and depth are in the internationally recognized meter format. Numerous detailed plans with large scales allow safe control and easy entry into bays, anchorages and marinas.
Presented in a handy, user friendly size, (23½’’ x 16 ½’’) a thick plastic envelope protects the charts, enabling them to be easily stored. The importance of good graphical representation of the topography when sailing in the Caribbean is essential.
