Ballast Water Record Book (90 Days)

The Ballast Water Convention of 2004 set out to mitigate the effects of Invasive aquatic species that present a major threat to the marine ecosystems. Shipping is identified as a major contributor for introducing alien species to new environments.

The introduction of alien species into new environments have been devastating in many areas of the world. The IMO introduced a set of measures within the Ballast Water Convention which are now coming into force.

From September 2017, vessels will have to carry a Ballast Water Record book to record all ballast water exchange, discharge and loading operations.

Complies with 33 CFR Part 151, Subparts C & D Effective July 1, 2000
