List V is published annually, as per the Radio Regulations this publication shall be provided to all ship stations for which a Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) installation is required by international agreement.

List V incorporates a searchable database of over nine hundred thousand ships. It contains details of Maritime Mobile Service Identities for search and rescue aircraft, coast stations, and groups of ship stations. It also provides contact information for accounting authorities and notifying administrations.

Vessels should begin to have this edition onboard by July 2025.

What’s New in the 2025 Edition:

• New Digital Format: All ITU Maritime Service Publications are now available in a digital format. Users can download and access publications through a desktop application designed for ease of use and enhanced search capabilities.

• CD / USB Formats: While the digital format is now the primary method of distribution, USB and CD-ROM format are still available. For more details, visit the formats page.

• Registering your digital or physical publication (QR code scan), it generates a certificate valid for port inspections.
