Amendments adopted by resolutions MSC.32(63) and MSC.59(67) and by MSC.34(63) and MSC.60(67).
Foreword: Amendments to chapters 1 8 and 15 of the International Gas Carrier Code (IGC Code) were adopted by the Maritime Safety Committee (MSC) on 23 May 1994 by resolution MSC.32(63). They were accepted, by tacit acceptance, on 1 January 1998 and entered into force on 1 July 1998.
Amendments to chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 11, 13, 14, 16, 17 and 19 were adopted by the MSC on 5 December 1996 by resolution MSC.59(67). They were accepted on 1 January 1998 and entered into force on 1 July 1998.
Changes to the Gas Carrier Code that were adopted by the MSC as the same time as those to the IGC Code are dependent on the coming into force of changes to the IGC Code, and do so at the same date.
Chapters VIII and XV of the Gas Carrier Code were amended by resolution MSC.34(63) in May 1994 and chapter XIX by resolution MSC.60(67) in December 1996.
The changes to chapters VIII and XV of the Gas Carrier Code and no chapters 1, 8 and 15 of the IGC Code were previously included in supplements to the 1983 and 1993 editions of the respective Codes.
